Okay, I think I figured it out. The metaphor, or whatever. The flow of water is mirroring the flow of.... money! There's that expression "the money flowed like water." Well, the money's been leaking/hemorraging, and this water flooding thing isn't gonna help. Also we've narrowed down the mystery of where the water's coming from. It has something to do with a broken sprinkler. But I fear that is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. The question is, WHY does a broken sprinkler outside make it flood inside? And why did it happen 2 years ago, and again now, but never in the time between? Stay tuned as Holmes & Poirot continue their zany madcap investigation!
